Marius Trompetter

Marius’ benefit? He makes you fit! Individually
and goal-orientated, he helps our
athletes to keep pushing
their limits to the top

Marius Trompetter was fascinated with endurance sport and human performance as early as at 14 years of age. Instead of reading comics he devoured books on training theory and running.

Considering this early passion it is no surprise that he chose to study something sport-specific: He graduated as Bachelor of Science “Sport and Performance” at the German Sports Academy in Cologne and wrote a thesis on “The influence of high-performance training on haemodynamic parameters and arterial stiffness in competitive athletes”.

He added a Master of Science “Sport Science – Exercise and Health” at Albert Ludwigs university to his CV while also working at the federal biathlon base where he was in charge of performance diagnostics and load control of the athletes’ endurance training. This will be his job at HYCYS institute in Cologne, too.

When he does not coach others, he likes to go road cycling, but even more he loves to go running. He used to mainly do track running, now he’s switched to road racing. And he is fast! His half-marathon PB is 1:10:53 hours.
