Anyone who’ll get Marius as an age group coach anytime soon, will get support that is scientifically sound as well as tried and tested. As a father of two, Marius knows what it is like having to fit training into a life that also demands considerable time to be spent on family and job.
Since he also likes to know how the competitions feel that his future protégés compete in, he has already completed various half marathons and marathons himself and has experience with triathlons and strongman runs. Although he spends his free time doing various sports, from weight training to swimming and cycling to tennis, the former handball player is currently most often out running in Cologne’s city forest with a pram.
During his active handball career, the business graduate and long-time sales manager was already interested in why so many players get injured and why the topic of nutrition was not very present even in squad training. He went looking for answers, took various further training courses and qualified, among other things, for a B licence in sports nutrition as well as for the master’s degree in training science and sports nutrition via university bridge courses, which he has been completing via distance-learning alongside his work since 2021. At the HYCYS location in Cologne, he will soon be coaching athletes and carrying out diagnostics.
